Good morning, everyone,
I’m pleased to report that there has been no change in our active COVID cases at Emmanuel Home. We continue to have just the one staff member and one resident who are positive, and they are both doing well!
On Saturday, we did an extra round of testing on the group of residents who were potentially exposed, and, while we wait for those test results, we will continue to monitor for symptoms. We will also continue with the weekly swabbing of the entire building tomorrow.
In other news, we’ve been notified by AHS that the vaccine is planned to come to Emmanuel Home this Wednesday, February 10th. Now, I know how that probably reads to you, as we’ve been here before, but I want to keep you all up to date on the latest updates. I don’t blame anyone for taking an “I’ll believe it when I see it” approach. Regardless, though, I’m encouraged that Emmanuel Home remains high on the priority list as AHS sorts through the vaccine logistics.
That being said, we will seek out an extra confirmation tomorrow (Tuesday), and also prepare for Wednesday being the day. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this all!
Blessings to you and your loved ones as we take on a new week.
In His grip,
